On 1 June 2020, FIA Region I released new figures showing European consumers are in favour of a single MaaS application where they could book all their transports.
The majority of respondents:
Laurianne Krid, Director General at FIA Region I, said “Mobility apps improved consumers’ lives by facilitating access to information on their preferred transport. However, a proliferation of mobility apps is not the most consumer-friendly solution as it is burdensome to switch from one app to another to find the best transport option. We should listen to consumer request for a single application and put the necessary requirements in place”.
The survey was carried out in 10 countries by FIA Region I member Clubs that are part of the EU Mobility Observatory. The participating Clubs are: ACA (France), ACI (Italy), ACP (Portugal), AMZS (Slovenia), FDM (Denmark), KTA (Kosovo), MAK (Hungary), ÖAMTC (Austria), RACC (Spain) and UAB (Bulgaria). In total 22406 people were surveyed between November 2019 and February 2020.
